After being cast in the role of a hero and savior so many times in traditional role playing games, stepping into the world of Unrest can be a bit jarring. The game might be set in a fantasy version of ancient India, but you won't find any gods bestowing your hero with special powers or quests to save the world. Instead, you take control of five characters who are mostly just trying to survive in a world that is pretty indifferent to their suffering. Read More..
Vertical Drop Heroes HD PC
While most games cast you in the role of the "chosen one" you will find that in Vertical Drop Heroes your characters just think that they are the hero. Maybe one of them will turn out to be the one that makes it to the Holy Sanctuary and discover the great secret of existence, but most of them won't. Their deaths won't be in vain though, as each one will contribute to the success of the next one, even if it is just a few gold coins. Read More...

So Many Me is one of the most adorable, not to mention challenging puzzle/platform titles we played this year. We had a chat with with the team from Extend Studio to find out more about this unique game. Read More...
Large, heavy trucks and soft muddy ground are usually a recipe for disaster, but somehow the developers, Oovee Game Studio turned this recipe into a very successful Kickstarter project. Ten Questions With... Luca Eberhart (GhostShark Games)
We checked out the rather fun voxel based online first person shooter, Blockstorm, a while back and it won us over with its addictive gameplay. The focus on easy character customization and level design also allows players to really personalize their experience. The game is still in Early Access and the developers are hard at work on the next update, but community manager Luca Eberhart was kind enough to quickly answer some of our questions. Read More...

Upcoming Attractions: Splee & Glob: Monster Defense by Application Systems Heidelberg Software GmbH and Frame6
Tower Defense games can be nice time wasters if done correctly and after spending some time with the playable prototype of Splee & Glob it certainly seems like the developers are on the right track. The game is billed as an "Action RTS meets Tower Defense" by the developers and got greenlit within a recording breaking 48 hours on Steam. The game still requires funding to complete though and there is currently a Kickstarter campaign running to do just that. Read More...
Second Chance Heroes PC
It would appear that the undead, evil robots and malevolent alien monsters have all been waiting for humanity to grow soft from watching kitten videos and reality television before making their move. Action Henk Early Access Preview (RageSquid)
Navigating tricky obstacle courses with a motorbike is one thing, but can you do it with an overweight action-hero toy? That is the question posed by Action Henk (and yes it is Henk and not "Hank") a new game from the brilliantly named Indie developer, RageSquid. At first glance the game bears a passing resemblance to the Trials series from RedLynx, but surprisingly enough Henk is not only faster, but more maneuverable than a motorcycle. Read More...

Ten Questions With... Philip Willey (Dirigo Games)
It is not every day that we get to experience Greek-themed first person adventures, so Depths of Fear :: Knossos impressed us despite some rough edges. The unique atmosphere and interesting blend of stealth and action certainly provides a very memorable experience. Surprisingly enough it is the work of just one person, so we had to get in touch and find out more. Read More...
Shattered Planet PC
"Addictive" is a word that is bandied around a lot these days, especially when it comes to games, but I can say without a trace of hyperbole that Shattered Planet is one addictive title. It has been many, many hours since I have been introduced to its charming world and I still look forward to every chance I get to return to it. My poor character has succumbed to the dangers of the procedurally generated world more times than I can remember, but each time I returned more determined and better prepared than the last.
